The universe might be twice as old as previously thought, a study stated. Advanced early galaxies, observed by James Webb Space Telescope, indicate an extended formation time. The model estimated the universe to be 26.7 billion years old, doubling the previous estimate of 13.7 billion years. These findings offer fresh explanation for the advanced level of development of early galaxies.
