The 27-year-old scored 331 runs in the five-match T20I series against West Indies. He slammed two hundreds and hit 22 sixes in the series. Salt had called his IPL auction snub "confusing".

Terrorists fire at social activist in J&K

Days after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, a 45-year-old social activist was injured after being shot at by suspected terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara, officials said on Sunday. The terrorists fired at Ghulam Rasool Magray inside his residence, the officials added. It was not immediately clear why the terrorists targeted the social activist, who was rushed to hospital.

The crew then requested police and medical teams to meet the aircraft on arrival. "[We] are reaching out to those onboard to apologise for the situation," Southwest Airlines' spokesperson said. The plane was taken out of service for deep cleaning for few hours.
