A special POCSO court in Uttar Pradesh has sentenced a 30-year-old man from Sambhal to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girl. The girl was held captive for nearly four months in Himachal Pradesh before being rescued in December 2021. The court also imposed a fine of ₹18,000, with ₹10,000 given to the survivor.
