UP doubles disaster death relief; 10 lakh farmers to benefit

The Uttar Pradesh govt under CM Yogi Adityanath has doubled natural disaster death compensation to ₹8 lakh and raised crop-loss aid by 25–30%. Over 10 lakh farmers will benefit from the move. Livestock, housing, and sericulture compensation were also revised upward under new SDRF/NDRF norms, covering losses from April 1 to November 4.
