The UP government has suspended Kanpur Nagar DSP Rishikant Shukla after a probe revealed disproportionate assets worth nearly ₹100 crore in his possession. The assets allegedly include 11 plots in prominent areas of Kanpur. He has been accused of acquiring assets disproportionate to his known sources of income between 1998-2009, during which he served as DSP in various districts.
