A 30-year-old labourer from Uttar Pradesh was arrested after breaking into the Government Medical College girls’ hostel in Chikkamagaluru at around 2:30 AM. Alert students caught him and informed the police via 112. He allegedly tried to flee and later confessed to attempted theft. Police said it was not his first intrusion, and an FIR has been registered.
