Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Wednesday passed the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Bill, 2021 by voice vote. The bill will now be sent to upper house of the state legislature and later to the Governor for approval after which it will become an act. The UP Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Ordinance was promulgated last year.
