UP's Shekha Jheel Bird Sanctuary crowned India's 99th Ramsar Site

Union Minister Bhupender Yadav announced that Uttar Pradesh's Shekha Jheel Bird Sanctuary has been designated as India's 99th Ramsar Site. He added that this is UP's 12th Ramsar site and it acts as a stopover habitat for migratory birds. A Ramsar site is a designation focused on conserving and maintaining ecological balance of important wetlands under Ramsar Convention of 1971.
