Under the new vehicle scrapping policy, people purchasing new vehicles in Rajasthan will get up to 50% road tax discount, capped at ₹1 lakh, Deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa announced. The concession will be available after depositing an old vehicle at an authorised scrapping centre. The policy provides for the phased removal of vehicles that are 15 years old.
