UP tops in "human rights violations" in India

With 18,377 complaints filed against the Uttar Pradesh police during 2014-15, the state has witnessed most human rights violations in India. Uttar Pradesh is followed by Haryana and Delhi, which received 2,465 and 1,814 complaints against their respective state police. Notably, UP accounts for over 60% of all NHRC (National Human Rights Commission) complaints against police in the country.
