A 55-year-old obese woman, Rajini Gupta from Meerut died from complications after getting a bariatric or weight loss surgery done. The woman, who weighed around 125 kilograms, was promised by the doctor that she would be able to lose 30 kilograms in a day. However, the procedure went horribly wrong, leading to a leak in her abdomen, which caused a fatal infection.
