Edtech giant upGrad is in talks to acquire its rival Unacademy for around $400 million, Moneycontrol reported. The potential valuation represents a sharp drop from Unacademy’s 2021 valuation of $3.44 billion. The talks come after reports that Unacademy's founders were planning to step back from day-to-day operations and spin off its language-learning app Airlearn as a standalone venture.
