UPI charges reach SC, plea seeks quashing of order claiming common man will pay price
A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking quashing of the gazette notification introducing varied merchant discount rates on UPI transactions above ₹2,000. In the plea, advocate Anjan Datta claimed that the charges would ultimately be borne by the common man. The plea has been filed against the Centre, RBI, NPCI and the UPI & Services Steering Committee.
