The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) processed a record-high of 941 crore transactions worth an all-time high of ₹14.89 lakh crore in May, according to data released by National Payments Corporation of India. This is a 58% YoY increase in the number of transactions and a 43% YoY growth in the transaction amount. UPI had processed 889 crore transactions in April.
