UPI set to launch in Uzbekistan amid India's digital payment expansion

Uzbekistan is set to adopt India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI), enabling smoother digital transactions between the two countries. The move follows a commercial pact between NPCI International Payments and Uzbekistan's National Interbank Processing Centre. The rollout will allow travellers to use familiar UPI-enabled mobile apps reducing their reliance on international debit or credit cards.
