UPI transactions during Dhanteras-to-Diwali period rose at faster pace than other payment modes, with average UPI volumes surging by 30% YoY, Moneycontrol reported citing NPCI data. The volumes rose to 737 million/day from 568 million/day during same period last year. Debit card e-commerce usage fell 24%, while wallets and gift cards saw 26% decline in volumes and 50% in value.
