Uttar Pradesh's Mughalsarai railway station has been renamed as Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) railway station in a bid to revive the legacy of Pandit Upadhyay, who was found dead near the station in 1968. The Centre's approval of the Uttar Pradesh government's proposal to rename the station had attracted criticism from the opposition in the Rajya Sabha earlier this year.
