Centre has allowed UPSC to use Aadhaar-based authentication for verifying candidates' identities during registration, exams and recruitment. Earlier, probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar's provisional candidature was cancelled for allegedly exceeding number of attempts allowed in exam and misusing disability and OBC quotas. UPSC also plans to use facial recognition and AI-based CCTV surveillance.
