Urdu poet Shamsur Rahman Faruqi passed away at the age of 85 on Friday at his Prayagraj home, a month after recovering from COVID-19. "He had been insisting to go back from Delhi to his home in Prayagraj. We reached here only this morning and within half an hour he passed away at around 11," Faruqi’s nephew Mahmood Farooqui said.
