Amid farmers' protest, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has urged Centre to "immediately initiate talks with Kisan Unions". He attributed the situation to "tense stand-off triggered by Haryana's attempts to forcibly stop farmers from marching to Delhi". "Farmers hadn't created any law and order problem/indulged in any instance of violence over past three months of their protest," he added.
