US and China are considering official discussions about AI during the summit between US President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, the Wall Street Journal reported. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will lead the US delegation for the proposed talks, the report added. President Trump has earlier said he will remind Xi Jinping that US leads in AI.
