US, China launch hotline to handle AI-related incidents after Xi-Trump summit

Following a summit between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, the US and China agreed to establish a “communication channel” to handle artificial intelligence incidents. They also launched a “US-China Super Intelligence (SI) Dialogue” to exchange views on the risks and benefits associated with AI. Both sides adopted the term “SI” instead of “AI” for the dialogue.
