The United States and Japan have announced a $40 billion nuclear power project deal after talks between Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and US President Donald Trump on Thursday. Under the deal, Japan will invest in the US to build small modular reactors in Tennessee and Alabama. Both countries also announced $33 billion for natural gas power facilities in US.
