US Navy has confirmed that an MQ-4C Triton unmanned surveillance aircraft crashed in the Persian Gulf region on April 9, calling it a "mishap", multiple reports stated. It was reportedly America's most expensive drone, costing over $200 million (₹1,660 crore). The drone had completed nearly three hours of surveillance over Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz when it suddenly disappeared.
