US Air Force F-16 fighter jet crashes in Germany

An F-16 fighter jet operated by the US Air Force’s 52nd Fighter Wing crashed at Spangdahlem Air Base in western Germany on Tuesday. The pilot ejected safely and received immediate medical attention from emergency-response personnel. German air traffic control told broadcaster SWR that the crash occurred following an exercise involving several aircraft.
