A US appeals court has ruled that ban on gun sales to adults under the age of 21 is "unconstitutional". Under current US federal law, adults aged 18 to 21 cannot purchase a handgun from a federally licensed dealer, although they are permitted to buy rifles and shotguns. Notably, parents are allowed to purchase handguns for their children.
