short by Dharna / on Tuesday, 21 July, 2020
The US has added 11 Chinese companies to an export blacklist for their alleged involvement in "human rights violations" in China's Xinjiang and supporting a "campaign of repression" against Uighur Muslims. It said nine of the firms were involved in forced-labour activities involving Uighurs and other Muslim minority groups. These include Nanchang O-film Tech, a supplier to companies like Apple.
