A US court has barred the Israeli spyware firm NSO Group from targeting WhatsApp users. Meta had accused NSO of deploying its hacking tool Pegasus to target WhatsApp users, including human rights activists, journalists, diplomats and others in civil society. NSO earlier argued that an order barring it from going after WhatsApp would force the company out of business.
