American director Carl Rinsch has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for defrauding Netflix of $11 million. Intended for his uncompleted sci-fi series Conquest, Rinsch instead diverted the funds into risky cryptocurrency, stock options, and a luxury lifestyle. Despite a leniency plea from actor Keanu Reeves, the judge ordered prison time and an $11 million forfeiture.
