A lawsuit has alleged Tesla's Model S car's 'futuristic' door handles malfunctioned after a crash, due to which the police couldn't save 48-year-old doctor Omar Awan from the burning car in February, in the US. The handles on Model S 'pop out' when they detect the key fob is nearby. The lawsuit also alleged fire originated from the car's battery.
