US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the country's economy as a whole is not at risk of recession in 2026. However, he noted that parts of the economy that are sensitive to interest rates, including housing, had been in recession. He added, "I am very optimistic about 2026. We have set the table for a very strong, non-inflationary growth economy."
