An Indian tech professional has sued his US employer, alleging he was forced to pay about $100,000 (₹94 lakh) to keep his job and H-1B visa. Rishikesh Raj Meesala claimed the company, led by an Indian-American businessman, threatened to report him to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) when he refused to pay. It reportedly also made threats against his father.
