For the first time, US President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff has visited an Israel and US-backed aid distribution site in Gaza. UN and Human Rights Watch had described the sites as "death traps" that had become the scene of regular "bloodbaths". Witkoff said he spent five hours at the site "level setting the facts on the ground".
