The US has fallen behind Russia and China in developing AI-powered drones, The New York Times reported. China's "manufacturing dominance" allows it to produce autonomous weapons at a scale the Pentagon cannot match, the report said. Russia is also believed to be ahead in building facilities to produce advanced drones, using the Ukraine battlefield to "test and refine them".
