David Belford, US-based United Furniture Industries' owner who disappeared after firing all of the company's 2,700 employees overnight through texts and e-mails in November, has reappeared. He told a local publication that he was "devastated by the turn of events" and called the situation "agonising". He is reportedly playing an active role in the liquidation and rehiring of some employees.
