US companies have asked the Commerce Department to impose tariffs on about 700 more items with steel content, The Guardian reported. In August, US President Donald Trump's administration levied additional tariffs on 407 steel-linked products. Cookware companies, a tomato-canning company and a mattress spring firm are among those who have submitted requests.
