US giant GE Aerospace signs contract with IAF for Tejas jets, engines to be repaired in India

US giant GE Aerospace announced on Monday that it signed a contract with IAF to establish a depot facility in India for F404-IN20 engines that are used in Tejas fighter jets. "Once operational, the facility will eliminate the need to depend on the overseas repair centres, significantly improving turnaround times," it said. The facility will be owned by IAF.
