The ongoing US partial government shutdown entered its 22nd day, breaking the record to become the longest government shutdown in US history. The partial government shutdown was imposed after opposition Democrats resisted President Donald Trump's demand for $5 billion for Mexico border wall. Some 800,000 federal employees have been furloughed or are working without pay due to the shutdown.
