US President Donald Trump imposed a 15% tariff on Israel even as Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu had removed tariffs on all American imports. Notably, White House had said US would impose tariffs on all countries it has a trade deficit with and Israel is one of those countries. A trade deficit occurs when a country's imports exceed its exports.
