US, Japan object to India's frequent bans on onion exports at WTO
short by Maanya Sachdeva / on Tuesday, 13 July, 2021

A ban on exports was imposed in September 2020 and later lifted in January. Consequently, Maharashtra's farmers have asked the government to draft a comprehensive import and export policy for onions.
