The United States launched a series of "powerful" military strikes against Iran on Wednesday after accusing Tehran of attacking three commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian state media said strikes hit Qeshm Island, Bandar Abbas and Sirik, where people have been injured by shrapnel. It added that seven explosions were heard in Iran's Sirik.
