Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, in response to a report of over 4,000 of Amazon warehouse employees being on food stamps, called Amazon jobs a "scam". The report detailed that many workers are struggling to pay bills and some are homeless. Alexandria said "'Amazon jobs' aren't it" and focus should be on public investments that "actually support dignified life".
