US lifts sanctions on Russian diesel after Trump signs oil deal with Putin

The US has lifted sanctions on Russian diesel sales in global markets till April 7 next year. The announcement came minutes after US President Donald Trump signed a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin to supply Russian diesel to American and global markets. Trump had earlier criticised and imposed tariffs on multiple countries, including India, for buying Russian oil.
