The US on Friday announced new export controls limiting the sale of semiconductor technology to China with an aim to cripple Beijing's ability to access critical technologies. Alan Estevez, the Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security, said the Commerce Department was working to prevent China's military, intelligence and security services from accessing sensitive technologies.
