US LNG producers rush to seize on rising costs amid West Asia war

European gas prices jumped over 40% after Qatar halted its production of liquefied natural gas amid conflicts in West Asia. Venture Global and Cheniere Energy, two of US' largest LNG producers, are rushing to take advantage of the situation, Financial Times reported. They are seeking to squeeze additional LNG volumes from facilities and rerouting cargoes to capitalise on skyrocketing prices.
