The US may deny green card, citizenship and even deny temporary or permanent visas to immigrants who use public benefits such as food stamps, public housing or Medicaid under new rules. The rules will encourage "self-reliance and self-sufficiency for those seeking to come to or stay in the US," Ken Cuccinelli, head of the US Citizenship and Immigration Service said.
