The US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) has urged the US government to impose targeted sanctions on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and India's spy agency, R&AW. USCIRF also wants US to "press India" to let US bodies like the Department of State conduct "assessments of religious freedom conditions". It wants to list India as country of particular concern.
