US Department of Justice said the government should "readopt" firing squads and lethal injections for death penalty cases. It added that US President Donald Trump on the first day of his second term in office directed the department to prioritise seeking death sentences for appropriate cases. It further said the department was facing difficulties in getting drugs for lethal injections.
