US polls start closing at 7 pm ET, Senate results may take longer

US midterm polls will start closing at 7 pm Eastern on Tuesday, with Alaska last at 1 am Wednesday, NPR reported. NPR said control of the House could become clear sooner than control of the Senate, where CBS News says Democrats need a net gain of four seats. Counting in Alaska and California may take weeks, reports said.
