US professor uses AI to write article criticising students' lack of math skills

Zvezdelina Stankova, a mathematics professor at the University of California, Berkeley, admitted to using AI to edit her op-ed criticising "severe" lack of math skills among students. Journalists at Berkeley's student newspaper noticed the op-ed's language sounded like AI. They ran it through AI-detection software, which claimed 33% of the article had been generated or assisted by AI.
